Your Environment and Being in “the Zone”

I started Weight Watchers in NY and lost most of my weight while working and living there but now that I’ve moved, it’s been very difficult to “get my head back in the game”. I’ve been on a very stable plateau for the past 5 months thanks to the fact that I still maintain eating minimally processed foods, drink only water, and exercising frequently but I don’t monitor my food other than that. I would eat rice, pumpkin and stew chicken even though I know I will have a more point laden dish for dinner.

I’m in NY again and I’m back in “the Zone”. I’m eating right, exercising, and my water bottle is always in need of refilling. It’s certainly shown me that if I don’t have control and confidence in my environment that I will not be as successful as I have been. I’m already trying to come up with strategies to help me successfully navigate my new environment and I have even added new workouts to keep it interesting.

I don’t want to be at a plateau any longer. I want to conquer my new environment AND meet my goal.

Tonight I had the most refreshing spin class. If I can walk tomorrow is another question. I had never heard any of the music before and the instructor was completely new to me. She kept screaming for us to go faster and harder and 30 mins into it, I had the most stupid grin attached to my face. That’s when I knew I was having a good time. I didn’t want to stop even though I felt like I was being pushed to the limit, I didn’t want to be left behind so I rode today like the wind was in my face and fire behind my back.

I left the class utterly drowned in sweat and high on endorphins.
